Thanks to you (Nichole) and the staff at Northshore Fitness,  I really enjoyed your Boot Camp program.  It worked well for me because I don’t like always doing the same thing every time.  The way you mix up the workouts make it fun and it goes by fast. I appreciate your help in finding a low impact way for me to help my back.  I’m looking forward to this fall.  I’m even eating a little healthier………sometimes!!

I want to express my appreciation about what a difference my participation in Lisa's exercise class has made in my life. The exercises that we do in Lisa's class are diverse, balanced and FUN. Her class has been key in raising my overall health and fitness to a level I never even imagined possible. I’ve been attending Jenny’s class for almost a year and a half regularly. Jenny makes exercising fun, challenging, and something to look forward to each week. After taking a couple classes with Nichole her last name says it all SARGENT! She is an intense ball of energy that will get you moving up, down, sideways, and across the room. I especially love the way that she incorporates resistance bands in a variety of workouts. She is a true soldier, waking up early in the day to motivate people to start their days with a fresh outlook. I highly recommend taking one of the many classes Nichole teaches, because you will get a good work out!

I joined my local health club and spent a year donating my monthly dues, thinking I should go, but never finding the time. Once I determined that I was going to follow through with my plan to get in shape, I tried classes from Pilates to Meditation. I tried exercising by myself in the weight room and running the track. Being a person that has played soccer for 20 years, I needed a “team”. When I tried Lisa's exercise class for the first time, I was hooked. Here was Lisa Carson, a fit instructor, full of energy, having fun while she taught. Lisa has a way of treating everyone as important in her class. She is EXCELLENT with names! That small gesture makes one who feels insignificant and stands in the back row feel like they count. I was that person and I was hooked. Two years later I am faithful to the class and to Lisa. She has challenged me to be better. She pays attention to detail. She also has a wicked sense of humor that has us all laughing. My recommendation of Lisa Carson couldn’t be higher....as a person, as an instructor, and now as a friend.

Jenny’s class is a lot of work but yet fun. There are times that I don’t feel like going but once I get there I am so glad I attended plus I feel so great after class. Jenny and her spunky personality make the class fun. She always introduces herself, remembers the members names, plus she is personable. She is hard core but you get good results and you feel great. It’s nice that she gives you the lower impact version as well so you do have choices to work with. I’ve attended her class since almost the beginning and I’ve just seen the class grow. It’s a great class due to working all parts of your body.

I have known Lisa for 10 years and I have yet to meet another instructor who can motivate me the way she can. She makes exercise so enjoyable that you forget you are working hard. Jenny is a warm, motivating, and thoroughly professional fitness instructor. She combines sound fitness knowledge with cutting edge exercises and techniques to create classes that maximize each participant's work out. Jenny's qualities as a person and instructor are rare in that she is truly a genuine person- her caring nature is demonstrated every time you see her. Lisa is serious about exercise and overall health, and is very 'plugged in' to what her clients want and need. She keenly recognizes that people come in all different shapes and sizes and fitness levels, and she adapts her workouts accordingly while still maintaining the integrity of the challenge that keeps people coming back. She studies everything from physiology to motivation and never fails to deliver a fresh and safe workout every single time -- never a dull moment! I have relied on Jenny’s class for a balanced cardio-strength, whole body workout for two years. Although I enjoy the class that she instructs, her personal and professional traits keep me coming back. Jenny is able to create a very comfortable atmosphere for people of all levels of fitness. Even when I was beginning her class she gave me a feeling of success (and satisfyingly sore muscles). As I value the level of professionalism she maintains in each workout, I appreciate her sense of reality regarding exercise. She knows that people have lives outside of the gym and it’s not always easy to maintain motivation. While I highly recommend her class because it strengthens the core, strengthens muscles that don’t get enough attention, and improves balance, Lisa is the reason this class is exceptional. Lisa’s style encourages everyone to be their best regardless of their ability. Low intensity is fine if that’s where you are, just do what you can; Lisa will motivate you to the next level. I have also been impressed with her ability to keep track of each student in a crowded room with 50 or more people. During one class I was struggling with the exercises and in a crowded room Lisa recognized my distress and discreetly came over and checked on me to make sure I was okay. I was so impressed with Lisa that I hired her to instruct physical conditioning for the Bothell Police Department Special Response Team, a team composed of young, fit police officers and firefighters who are very competitive. During the first few minutes of warm-up, the team was behaving like they thought the next hour was going to be some sort of jazzercise dance class. What they didn’t know is in Lisa’s class there are no genders, and she can ramp-up the intensity to any level you can tolerate, which is exactly what she did. It didn’t take long and the team was sweating profusely. They suddenly realized this woman was serious and could deliver an intense workout. After that first day, the entire team was a believer in Lisa’s ability as a fitness instructor and specifically requested her for more physical training sessions. Many people can go through instructor training and deliver a competent and technically correct exercise session, but it takes someone with a unique, innate ability to make it more than technically correct. Lisa has that innate ability; she takes her sessions beyond technically correct and makes them valuable and rewarding.

I am a student of Jenny’s class for more than two years and enjoy it enormously. She offers different activities that keep the class interesting while working different muscles groups for a full body workout. The variation of exercises that Jenny uses keeps her students from being bored from doing the same routine. Just as important….I see results from her classes which is exciting and why I keep attending. Jenny is sensitive to new students who join the class, constantly encouraging and rotates new moves each session as well as explains what muscle groups these moves impact. She usually offers several options on moves during class for beginners to advanced students. She also mixes up the moves from kick-boxing, step, strength training to yoga/stretching ones. A true professional, Jenny is friendly, knows all of her student’s names in her class and encourages the students to get to know each other through introductions via activities within her class. This creates a support system and a nurturing atmosphere. She also is open to suggestions and is very creative -- often coming up with impromptu exercises as well as ideas for future classes. I highly recommend taking Jenny’s classes to improve oneself while having fun and seeing results with improving cardio capabilities, balance, strength, confidence, body image, core muscles and taking these items into other activities such as hiking, running, biking, skiing, etc
